Recreational Treasures


Recreational Treasures for Beginners:

These classes are for children moving through from our preschool and rising 5 sessions and for those with no previous gymnastics experience up to the age of 8. Children in class work in small groups after a mass warm up and work to whole club plans to develop their basic skills.  Much of the work will be floor based and focussed on good basic technique and learning / understanding of gymnastics terminology and movement concepts.

These classes are a course based and children will work on their proficiency awards.

Recreational Treasures Intermediate:

Level 1:
These classes are for school aged children moving up from the beginners sessions or starting gymnastics a bit later (aged 8+) .

The sessions will be run to the whole club plan with a focus on a range of gymnastics skills from across gymnastics disciplines, Whilst quality will still be key, there will be opportunities to try more advanced skills. Focus on having fun!

Gymnasts will work towards British Gymnastics proficiency awards and be tested once per term.

Level 2:
These classes are for school aged children moving up from Level 1 sessions.

The sessions will be run to the whole club plan with a focus on a range of gymnastics skills from across gymnastics disciplines. While quality will still be key, there will be opportunities to try more advanced skills. Focus on fun!
Gymnasts will work towards British Gymnastics proficiency awards and be tested once per term.

Advanced:
These classes are for school aged children who have completed Level 1 and Level 2 classes, or our intermediate classes or development groups and wish to develop their gymnastics further without entering squads.

These sessions focus on a range of gymnastics skills from across gymnastics disciplines. While quality will still be key, there will be opportunities to try more advanced skills. Focus on having fun!
Gymnasts will work towards British Gymnastics proficiency awards and Advanced proficiency awards (Bronze, Silver and Gold) and will be tested once per term.
